An illustration of some guy named Steve by the Talented Dennis K
Me and Dennis have been kicking around the idea of creating a Patreon site to help fund the completion of the Steve comic (an epic project we’ve both been working on and off on for several years now) Having a little extra income would allow both of us to devote more time to it.. As rewards (for say something like $6 a month) I was thinking of adding downloadable PDF tutorials on creating molds, casting, 3d modeling for 3d printing of dolls, finishing 3d prints to make them smooth and moldable, miniature set making, doll finishing/faceups, sculpting, etc. (basically in depth tutorials demonstrating all the techniques I use to actually create my dolls) Ive been making silicone molds as well as puppets since 89 and making dolls since 04 so i have a LOT of tips (and tricks) to share, ….
We also thought about the possibility of doing an exclusive "faceplate of the month club" for patrons that wish to contribute higher amounts.. Dennis would also be adding drawing tutorials for those interested in illustration. If we reach a certain funding goal we’d like offer video tutorials as well as the added option of one on one personal instruction via Skype plus of course all this comes with the bonus getting to see behind the scenes photos of new doll work in progress that no on else has access to as well as getting the option to pre-order new doll releases before anyone else and access to artwork and finished pages of the comic before they are released online, as well as a few other premiums… If anyone would seriously be interested in something like this let me know, by sending me a note, commenting, or giving a share with a note. Let me know what you’d be interested in learning or seeing more of!, I've been getting a good response form the Tumblr crowd now id like to hear from the folks on DA smile emoticon
