Description

These took a bit longer to finish than i expected,  Steve boots were originally going to be cast out of soft silicone, The prototype silicone boots looked really nice but after taking them on and off a few time they began to tear, the problem with using a silicone soft enough to stretch over his feet is that it is also somewhat delicate so I eventually decided to cast them in resin and joint them at the ankle. The resin boots can be easily swapped with his standard foot sculpt.

I modeled Steve’s belt digitally in 3d, 3D printed it, made a silicone mold from the 3D print then cast the finals in soft silver silicone, I embedded magnets in the ends of the silicone belts and also in the backs of the resin belt buckles so they lock together. (It took a LOT of experimenting to get it right)

Aside from Steve’s belt buckle i also modeled his bracelets in 3D, 3D printed them, created silicone molds form the 3D prints then cast them in resin, i then sanded the seams off and then hand painted on the details like the little silver studs and tiny “metal” stars.

As always any questions can be sent to me here or emailed to bishonenhouse (at) yahoo (dot) com

If you have no idea who Steve is, Hes an original character sculpted by myself, you can see more pics of him below.

Shiny, as always! I miss sculpting. I'll have to get back into it soon. My recent biz startup is both encouraging and squishing my creativity...however that works. :)
